Data Deletion

You can delete your docpk account, the personal information we hold about you, and the patient and prescription records you have stored, at any time. This page explains how.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)

  1. Sign in to app.docpk.com (or open the docpk mobile app).
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm by typing the word DELETE. Your account and all associated data are queued for permanent deletion.

Option 2 — Email request

If you cannot sign in, send an email from the address registered on your account to [email protected] with the subject line “Delete my docpk account” and include:

  • Your full name as registered.
  • The email address associated with your account.
  • A short confirmation, e.g., “I request permanent deletion of my docpk account and all associated data.”

We may ask one verification question to confirm you own the account.

What gets deleted

  • Your doctor profile (name, contact details, qualifications, profile photo, signature).
  • All patients you added (name, contact, age, gender, notes).
  • All prescriptions you created (drug, dose, frequency, duration, PDF copies, share links).
  • Account-level preferences and saved templates.

What we keep, and for how long

For legal, tax, accounting, and security reasons we may retain a minimal record of past transactions and account-level metadata (such as the fact that an account previously existed, the dates it was active, and invoice records) for up to 7 years. This retained data does not include patient identifiers or prescription content.

Encrypted backups are typically purged within 30 days. Until backups roll over, your data is inaccessible to staff and is overwritten on the regular backup schedule.

Timelines

  • In-app deletion: account is disabled immediately; personal and patient data is permanently deleted from live systems within 7 days and from backups within 30 days.
  • Email request: we acknowledge within 3 business days and complete deletion within the same timelines above after verification.
